I am delighted to introduce you to our vibrant academic community, where excellence in research, teaching and innovation thrives.<\/p>\n\n<p>Our Department is dedicated to providing a stimulating environment for students, faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive space that encourages learning and personal growth. We produce very high caliber personnel in all aspects of English Language and Literature. This is in consonance with the Vision of Covenant University with regard to raising a new generation of leaders in Nigeria and beyond. Our expectation is to raise communication experts who would satisfy the requirements for career placement in the academia, media, corporate world and indeed, all other fields where a high degree of English proficiency is required. Our programme has two components \u2013 Language and Literature. In each module, we explore a combination of the theoretical aspects and practical applications.<\/p>\n\n<p>Furthermore, the Department aligns its programmes with the <strong>Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>, synchronizing learning themes to tackle the language challenges of developing multilingual countries like Nigeria. We incorporate oral and written French Language skills and entrepreneurship studies to provide a more internationalised industry advantage for our students in a diversified world.
